Does it sync with Outlook?
Kestrel does not synchronise calendars, mailboxes or documents with Outlook or SharePoint, in either direction. Each person can start a calendar feed from the Calendar page, and Outlook or Google subscribes to its address and shows the entries that person sees when signed in, with their titles and times. Email to families goes out through Kestrel's own send path, so each message is on the record with the decision made about each recipient, and no mailbox writes into the school's record. Documents are kept in Kestrel's document store, each under a retention class, and are not stored in SharePoint. A two-way link would let a system outside the school write into its record. Calls and their transcripts stay in Teams, which a school that uses it keeps using.
